Elgin City 3-2 East Stirlingshire

Elgin City missed out on a promotion play-off place despite drawing level on points with Berwick Rangers on the final day of the Scottish Third Division league campaign.

City took the lead three times against East Stirlingshire through Jamie Duff's header, Stuart Leslie's shot and substitute Ceiran McLean's powerful struck winner.

Bottom club Shire levelled twice with Jamie Glasgow and Paul Quinn firing home but the visitors could not come back a third time.

Berwick's defeat by Rangers means the Shielfield Park side and Elgin both finish on 49 points but the latter's inferior goal difference means they definitely remain in the bottom tier for next season.
