Cambridge United release six in shake-up

Rossi Jarvis

Cambridge United have released six players and transfer-listed two more as part of their summer rebuilding.

Craig Ross, Joe Anderson, Charlie Wassmer, Curtis Haynes-Brown, Rossi Jarvis and Billy Gibson are out of contract and have all left the club.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Hedge and defender Scott Garner have been transfer listed.

Left-back James Brighton and midfielder Tom Shaw's deals expire in June, but the pair remain in talks over extending their contracts.

Boss Richard Money told the club website: "These tough decisions have been made to enable us to re-build the squad for next season.

"We would like to thank all of the players for their efforts and wish them every success in the future."
