Stenhousemuir 4-0 Ayr Utd

Stenhousemuir moved to within three points of a play-off place following a comprehensive win over ten-man Ayr.

The Warriors went ahead after only four minutes when Sean Dickson fired a powerful header past Ayr keeper Graeme Smith.

Stenny doubled their lead when Ross McMillan flicked Jamie Reid's corner to John Gemmell, who buried his header into the top-left corner.

Ayr were reduced to ten men after 40 minutes when Christopher Smith was sent off for bringing down Nicholas Devlin in the box.

Gemmell stepped up and slotted home the resulting penalty.

Darren Smith made it four with a well-placed shot into the bottom corner, with Reid also rattling the crossbar.
