'Gibson should have been sent off'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is critical of the referee after his side are held 0-0 by Everton at the Emirates, saying he "let a lot of decisions go".

Wenger believes Everton midfielder Gibson should have been sent off when he was penalised for a cynical foul on Theo Walcott shortly after he had been booked for bringing down the England international.

The stalemate leaves Arsenal in third place just two points above Chelsea and Tottenham with the Blues playing Fulham on Wednesday, but Wenger thinks the Gunners remain in a "strong" position and can still secure a top four spot this season.
