Luton 2-0 Ebbsfleet Utd

Two Alex Wall goals ensured Luton's final home game of the season ended in victory against 10-man Ebbsfleet.

Striker Wall met Jake Howells' cross to open the scoring with a diving header.

Six minutes before the break the evening worsened for relegated Ebbsfleet as Stefan Payne was sent off for a rash challenge on Howells.

Nathan Elder missed two chances to equalise before Wall punished Fleet by coolly finishing from Jake Goodman's through-ball.

VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Luton Town assistant manager Terry Harris told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"It's good to finish our home games with a victory and now hopefully we can get a good result on Saturday at Southport and then start preparing for next season.

"Any side that Liam Daish puts out will give it everything and they gave it their best shot in the second half. I thought 2-0 was a good reflection.

"The reason I am out here doing the interview is because John Still is talking to players (about their future) right now.

"Probably in the next two days you will have more information on that."
