Chippenham Town manager Nathan Rudge in racism charge

Football

Chippenham Town manager Nathan Rudge has been charged by the Football Association over alleged racist remarks made to an opposing player.

The allegation dates back to their FA Cup tie at Bishops Cleeve in September.

The Southern Premier side have said the 33-year-old strongly denies the charge and has requested a personal hearing with the FA.

The Bluebirds player-manager took over from Adie Mings as boss at the end of last season.
