Eriksson on favourite Owen memory

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson describes Michael Owen's retirement as a "sad story for football".

The former Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle and Stoke forward, who scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for his country, announced his plans to retire at the end of this season.

Eriksson coached England from 2001 to 2006 and says his favourite memory of Owen was when the striker scored a hat-trick in England's 5-1 away win over Germany.
