Morecambe 0-0 Cheltenham

Cheltenham missed out on the chance to move into the League Two automatic promotion places after playing out a goalless draw at freezing Morecambe.

The Robins had the better chances, with Shaun Harrad and Kaid Mohamed missing the target and Marlon Pack's free-kick forcing a save from Barry Roche.

Shrimps keeper Roche also did well to deny Russell Penn.

Morecambe's best chance fell to Lewis Alessandra but Scott Brown denied him with a brilliant low save.

Yates - We should've had a penalty

"I think it's a good point for us, with a clean sheet away from home. They've got an excellent record here and we had to come and battle.

"I thought we were the better team and our game plan worked, I was really disappointed we didn't get the penalty. Sam (Deering) was absolutely smashed, and the referee was five yards away.

"The pitch was pretty awful but we showed that we have got a tough side to us, and how organised we can be."
