Tough day for Newcastle - Pardew

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew says it was "a tough day" for the club after suffering a 7-3 defeat away at Arsenal.

The Magpies came back three times to draw level, including two goals from Demba Ba, but the Gunners scored four late goals to inflict a fourth league defeat in five games for Newcastle.

Pardew admits his side "didn't have the energy" to cope with Arsenal, but praises Sylvain Marveaux's "terrific" performance.
