Crawley Town 0-1 Yeovil

A dramatic last-minute own goal from substitute David Hunt gave Yeovil a hard-earned win at high-flying Crawley.

The hosts had dominated for lengthy spells - twice being denied by the woodwork as well as having two efforts cleared off the line.

Crawley went close on the hour through Nicky Adams before a low shot from Mark Connolly was also cleared off the line.

Nicky Adams later blazed wide while Gary Alexander headed against the bar before Hunt nodded into his own net.

Our luck ran out - Barker

"It was probably as good a performance as for a while. We created more chances than we have in any game and I thought the players were fantastic.

"We just run out of luck. I thought they were fantastic on what is a nigh-on impossible pitch, and we still tried to play in the right areas.

"Their energy, desire, work-rate and skill in individual performances, it just wasn't our day.

"They are down and they will take some lifting, because as a group of players they are in there wondering why they've not got their reward."

Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset:

Crawley win not lucky - Johnson

"The boys took a lot of responsibility and it's great when you come away from these places with three points.

"I've had 50 people screaming obscenities at me for an hour and a half and I've got their manager telling me how lucky we were.

"I told him to go and talk to his chairman because that's why you're saying things like that.

"We had to fight them all over the place and what we can't be is shrinking violets. We can't let people say that out of disappointment."
