Ferguson to field experienced team

Sir Alex Ferguson reveals he "will field a more experienced team" against Galatasaray to ensure Manchester United are not knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage, as they were last season.

The Red Devils manager is wary of the threat posed by Galatasaray's "excellent" central midfield pairing of Turkish international Selcuk Inan and Brazilian Juventus loanee Felipe Melo, predicting a "very close game" at Old Trafford.

United's exit at the group stage last season following a defeat by FC Basel was only the third time during Ferguson's tenure they have failed to progress to the knockout stages.
