Johnson targets England caps

Adam Johnson says he signed for Sunderland because he wants to play more football to boost his chances of securing a place in the England squad.

The Black Cats have signed the winger on a four-year deal from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.

Johnson missed out on Euro 2012, after being named as a standby player, but has been included in Roy Hodgson's 24-man England squad for September's World Cup qualifiers.
