Wycombe A-A Bristol Rovers

Wycombe's game against Bristol Rovers was called off after 63 minutes following rain and thunder storms with the visitors leading 3-1.

Lee Brown had given Rovers an early lead, burying a shot past Nikki Bull from inside the box before Richard Logan headed in an equaliser.

Two quick-fire long-range strikes from Eliot Richards gave the visitors a two-goal cushion at half-time.

But, after heavy rain showers and a thunder storm, the game was abandoned.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Bristol Rovers manager Mark McGhee told BBC Radio Bristol:

"The game was called off by the health and safety officer and we've got to trust that he was genuine in his interpretation of what was happening.

McGhee 'gutted' for scorer Richards

"Safety has to be paramount so we've just got to accept this. These things happen in the game.

"Eliot (Richards) will be gutted but hopefully it gives him the confidence to know he can score goals.

"He can get us goals and he scored two fantastic goals today."
