Dutch lost their spirit - Kuyt

Dirk Kuyt believes Netherlands "lost their spirit" after conceding their first goal to Germany in a 2-1 defeat in their Group B match that leaves them on the verge of exiting Euro 2012.

Kuyt, who recently left Liverpool for Fenerbahce, says the result is a "major blow" for the 2010 World Cup finalists and believes they must takes their chances better if they are to progress any further.

Netherlands must now beat Portugal in their final group game and hope Germany overcome Denmark to have any chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
