York 1-0 Forest Green

Promotion contenders York confirmed a fourth-place finish in the table with victory over Forest Green.

In a lacklustre game, the Minstermen sealed all three points thanks to Adriano Moke's low strike which crept under goalkeeper Sam Russell.

Rovers' best chances came from Matty Taylor, but he saw his first effort hit the bar while his second-half drive was stopped by keeper Paul Musselwhite.

York will now face third-place Mansfield in the play-off semi-finals.

Season starts now - York boss Mills

York City manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio York:

"We've made a lot of changes today and I've rested quite a few players but I wanted a little bit more.

"So it wasn't the best of games but we got another clean sheet, we got a goal.

"We've won the last three games 1-0, that shows some character from the players and I'm delighted to get another three points.

"It might have been a long time but now the season starts for us we have got so much to play for and I'm looking forward to it."
