Arbroath missed the chance to go top of the Scottish Second Division after being pegged back against Airdrie United.

A double from Keith Gibson put the hosts 2-0 up at the break, the midfielder converting crosses by Paul Sheerin and Gavin Swankie.

Derek Holmes' close-range effort brought Airdrie back into the match on 49 mintues.

And the visitors levelled 12 minutes from the end, John Boyle scrambling home after Holmes' knock down.
