MK Dons 1-1 Sheffield Wed

Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to secure a point against fellow promotion hopefuls MK Dons.

The Dons took the lead when Luke Chadwick's 25-yard shot came back off the underside of the crossbar and went in off Owls keeper Stephen Bywater.

Wednesday then benefited from a slice of luck when home defender Gary MacKenzie put through his own net from Chris Sedgwick's cross.

Chris O'Grady almost won it for the visitors in the second half.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Look East:

"I've said to the boys I'm so proud of them.

"It was a difficult evening against a very different Sheffield Wednesday team who make it difficult for you.

"I thought we stood up to the test. People think we can be bullied.

"But we also showed we can compete as well.

"I thought we were the better team and created the better chances.

"But they're above us so they can go away and gloat, because they have some exceptionally gifted players."
