Rochdale sign former Burton defender Kevin Amankwaah

Amankwaah came on as a substitute in Saturday's defeat by Stevenage

Rochdale have signed defender Kevin Amankwaah on a short-term contract.

The 29-year-old had spent a week training with Dale and made his debut in the 5-1 loss to Stevenage, coming on after all the goals were scored.

The former Bristol City trainee was released by Burton Albion in January after signing a short-term deal with the Brewers in the summer.

Amankwaah has played for Torquay, Cheltenham, Yeovil, Swansea and Swindon, making 253 league appearances.
