Burton Albion sign West Ham's Callum Driver on loan

Burton Albion have signed West Ham defender Callum Driver on a one-month loan, subject to official confirmation.

The 19-year-old signed his first professional contract in July 2011 and is a regular in the reserve side, but is yet to make his first-team debut.

Boss Paul Peschisolido said he needed cover for the suspended Andy Corbett.

"He'll do a great job. He's an energetic lad, he gets up and down and he's got quality. He's a typical West Ham player," Peschisolido said.

Peschisolido thrilled with Driver deal

"We have had success in the past at bringing in young lads and giving them their debut in the Football League.

"We are sitting in an excellent position; a better position than anyone had given us at this stage of the season."
