Doncaster Rovers sign Sam McMahon from Rangers

Doncaster Rovers

Doncaster Rovers have signed Rangers striker Sam McMahon on a free transfer.

The 17-year-old has signed a short-term deal, subject to international clearance, which could be extended if he impresses this season.

He will play with Rovers' youth team and train with the first-team squad and play in practice games.

Youth-team manager Paul Wilson told the club website: "Sam is a strong, hard working and aggressive striker and we're pleased to have him on board."
