Bristol Rovers 5-2 Rotherham

Bristol Rovers eased the pressure on manager Paul Buckle with a thrilling victory over 10-man Rotherham.

Scott McGleish tapped in Rovers' first and then netted from the spot after Johnny Mullins fouled Scott Rendell, before Cian Bolger headed in for 3-0.

Jason Taylor and Danny Schofield both drove in to give the Millers hope.

But they had Guy Branston sent off for a two-footed lunge on Lee Brown, who then volleyed in before Joe Anyinsah's deflected cross looped in to settle it.

The defeat was the Millers' fifth in a row in league and cup, with Branston's dismissal hardly the start he wanted after returning to the club on loan from Bradford.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Rotherham boss Andy Scott told BBC Radio Sheffield:

The players should be ashamed - Scott

"We were 3-0 down after 20 minutes - that's what cost us.

"When you come to a ground where the crowd are on their backs, they're on a poor run of form, then you've got to work hard, the first goal counts, you've got to get the crowd on their back and make sure it's difficult. We're 3-0 down in 20 minutes - it says it all doesn't it?

"The sending off effects the game, of course it does. You know if you don't start right you lose games.

"I'm absolutely distraught for the fans that have come down here. I feel for them, absolutely feel for them.

"The players should be ashamed of themselves where it's come to the point that we've lost five goals again."
