Sheffield United's 18-year-old striker Jordan Slew has agreed a new two-year contract, keeping him at Bramall Lane until the summer of 2013.

A Sheffield native, he made his first-team debut in October and signed his first professional deal in November.

He told the club website: "This is my home town and where I want to continue my development."

Boss Danny Wilson added: "We've had interest in him and no doubt there will be more. We think a lot of him."

Wilson continued: "He's got a load of potential, but there's also a lot of hard work in front of him to realise that potential."

The youngster, who starred in the Blades' run to the FA Youth Cup final last season and has two first-team goals to his name, has also represented England at Under-19 level.
