Bears must not gift wickets - Brown

Warwickshire's batsmen must "sit tight" and stop gifting their wickets, says Bears director of cricket Dougie Brown, in the wake of their defeat by Yorkshire.

"There's a lot of stuff we need to improve on," Brown told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire after a second innings loss in a month to the Championship leaders.

"But there were a lot of needless dismissals against Yorkshire. Our batsmen have got to sit tight for long periods. We can't be gifting wickets like that."
