Middlesex were outplayed - Rogers

Middlesex captain Chris Rogers says his side were thoroughly outplayed during their innings and 127-run defeat by Sussex.

The 36-year-old says Middlesex played poorly all round but says one bad game "can happen at this time of year".

Australia batsman Rogers describes himself as "proud" to be named as one of Widens's Five Cricketers of the Year on Wednesday and says the accolade is something he can treasure.
