Naved Arif signs new one-year Sussex deal
Left-arm seamer Naved Arif has signed a new one-year deal with Sussex.
The 30-year-old played 20 times for the county last season and took 15 first-class wickets, including a best of 4-41, in four County Championship games.
He also hit an unbeaten century against champions Lancashire in April and featured in five Twenty20 games and 11 CB40 games.
"I know I have so much more to give the team in 2012 and I aim to establish myself as a regular," Arif said.
"I enjoyed my first year but I have to show the consistent form to be selected to play in all forms all the time, which I will do."
Pakistan-born Arif has recently played for the Sialkot Stallions in his native country's T20 competition and will re-join Sussex for the Caribbean T20 tournament in January.
Sussex manager Mark Robinson added: "I'm delighted that Naved has agreed to come back for another year. Despite his age, he is still in many ways inexperienced. He is still learning and has got lots more to give."
