Drinkhalls win epic all-English final

Husband and wife team Paul and Joanna Drinkhall win mixed doubles gold after defeating fellow English pair Tin-Tin Ho and Liam Pitchford in a thrilling encounter.

Ho, aged 15, and partner Pitchford recovered from a two-game deficit to force a deciding fifth game against the Delhi 2010 bronze medallists.

But the Drinkhalls rallied to win the decider 11-5, making it an English clean sweep after Danny Reed and Kelly Sibley had earlier won bronze.
