Glasgow 2014: England men's hockey team lose to New Zealand

The England men's hockey team look set to finish second in Pool B and meet Australia in the semi-finals after a 2-1 defeat against New Zealand.

England went behind when the Black Sticks were controversially awarded a penalty stroke after a successful video referral calling for a push inside the 'D'.

Andy Hayward converted that stroke before Adam Dixon made it 1-1 with a smart volleyed finish, but Simon Child won it for New Zealand with a few moments remaining.
