Glasgow 2014: Kate Avery added to Team England for 10,000m

England have called up Kate Avery to replace Jo Pavey in the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games, reports BBC Tees.

The 22-year-old from Newton Aycliffe as she was fourth-ranked in both the 5,000m and 10,000m.

But she will now be in Glasgow after four-time Olympian Pavey withdrew, to concentrate solely on the 5,000m.

Avery ran for Great Britain in the 3,000m at the finishing ninth in an outdoor personal best of 8:56.24.
