Hatton sets sights on world title

Ricky Hatton states he wishes his family and the British public to "be proud" of him again after setting his sights on winning another world title on his return to the ring.

Hatton, a former WBA and IBF light-welterweight and WBA welterweight champion, has stated a rematch with Paulie Malignaggi will not happen straight away, but refuses to rule out a clash with his "friend" Amir Khan.

The 'Hitman' confirmed on Friday that he would be coming out of retirement more than three years since his last fight - for a welterweight bout against an as yet unnamed opponent at the Manchester Arena.
