Justin Gatlin wins Rome Diamond League 100m

American sprinter Justin Gatlin wins the 100m at the Diamond League in Rome, with Jamaica's Nesta Carter second and Britain's Adam Gemili third.

The 2004 Olympic champion led from the gun to record a time of 9.91 seconds, with Carter posting 10.02 seconds and Gemili 10.07 seconds - both seasons bests.

Gatlin served a four-year ban between 2006 and 2010 having testing positive for a banned substance.
