Baton blunder costs Brits bronze

British quartet Adam Gemili, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, James Ellington and Dwain Chambers lose out on a 4x100m World Championship bronze medal after an illegal baton transfer.

The pass between Aryeetey and Ellington took place outside the changeover box, leaving Canada to move up to fourth, while Jamaica took gold and the USA silver.

BBC Sport's Gabby Logan delivered the news to UK Athletics performance director Neil Black who admitted the disqualification was "pretty gutting."

Usain Bolt won a record-equalling eighth World Championship gold, taking him level with Americans Michael Johnson, Allyson Felix and Carl Lewis.
