The short-track speed skating World Championships will take place in Debrecen, Hungary, from 8-10 March.
The four-man bob crew of John Jackson, Stuart Benson, Bruce Tasker and Joel Fearon were just 0.66 seconds behind gold medallists Germany following their four runs, and only 0.07 seconds off a medal. Russia claimed silver and the United States bronze.
The last time GB won a men's world bobsleigh medal was in 1966.
In the skeleton at St Moritz on Saturday, GB's Dom Parsons and Kristan Bromley were ninth and 10th.
