Winter X-Games 2012: Gillings ready for X-Games test
British number one Zoe Gillings says the challenging boarder-cross course at the X-Games will test her nerves.
The 26-year-old from the Isle of Man will begin qualification for the event in Aspen, Colorado, on Friday with the finals on Saturday.
"It's a huge course with massive jumps and features so it will definitely test my nerves," she said. "I cant wait."
Gillings is full of confidence after finishing fourth and seventh at last week's Swiss World Cup rounds.
The Manx snowboarder has a world ranking of seven after the first three rounds of the World Cup and is less than 100 points behind French snowboarder Deborah Anthonioz, the 2010 Olympic silver medallist, who is fifth.
Gillings added: "I'm really looking forward to qualification, unfortunately there is only one run, which makes it a lot more risky but we are all in the same situation."
Meanwhile, World number one Lindsey Jacobellis, who has won all three World Cup rounds this season will miss the event with a knee injury.
The American has won the boarder-cross at the X-Games for four successive years.
