Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta says Chelsea will be desperate for Champions League revenge on Tuesday night after his added-time equaliser denied them a place in the 2009 final.
Pep Guardiola's team went through on the away goals rule, 1-1 on aggregate.
"To be knocked out at the gateway to a final is very painful," said Iniesta. "We return to face them again and I am sure their desire to beat us and be in the final will be very strong. Football always gives you second chances but I hope everything works out well for us this time as well."

World 400m hurdles champion Dai Greene says he plans to open his Diamond League campaign at the Golden Gala in Rome on 31 May. Greene also intends to run in Oslo on 7 June, Paris on 6 July and at Crystal Palace in the London Grand Prix on 13-14 July as he gears up for the London Olympics.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester, Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton says they will not be able to play their Challenge Cup tie against St Helens at home. According to Hamilton, the Rugby Football League has said that their 1500-capacity stadium is not capable of hosting a Super League team.

British Horseracing Authority chief executive Paul Bittar will meet with animal welfare groups next week with the Grand National on the list of topics for discussion. Saturday's race at Aintree saw two horse deaths and there have been calls for further modifications to the course.

Laurie Sanchez, whose contract as Barnet manager was terminated earlier today, has expressed his disappointment at 'the lack of loyalty shown in me by the club'.
Sanchez has been replaced by Martin Allen, who left the club towards the end of last season.
He added: "I'd like to express my extreme disappointment at the lack of loyalty shown in me by the club. It is the same lack of loyalty the club accused Martin Allen of showing when he walked out on Barnet towards the end of last season."

But at this stage in the project there are always more strains on the cost side of the operation than on the revenue side."

Speaking about Fabrice Muamba on the BBC News Channel, BBC Sport's Dan Roan says: "It's remarkable when you consider that his heart stopped beating for 78 minutes. I understand that he had a relatively minor procedure to be fitted with a defibrillator, a pacemaker, because of the risk that he can suffer a cardiac arrest again in the future. There's a long way to go in terms of recovering fully. We don't know what the defibrillator means for his playing career."

The decision to schedule the FA Cup final for an early-evening start has been criticised by a Liverpool fans' group. Liverpool fans face transport headaches due to the late start. A spokesman for the Merseyside branch of the Liverpool FC Official Supporters Club says: "Once again the FA Cup has been totally and utterly devalued. It should have kicked off at 3pm and the other league games moved to the Sunday. Football fans don't matter to anyone."

Super League Man of Steel Rangi Chase is facing a ban after being charged over the incident that left Featherstone winger Tangi Ropati with a broken jaw. Chase was put on report during Castleford's 23-16 Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth-round defeat and has been ordered to face the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee tomorrow on a grade C charge, which carries a suspension of two or three matches.

British Judo performance director Daniel Lascau accepts he stepped into a "crisis" when taking charge last year but maintains Team GB fighters all have 'tunnel vision' as they take another step towards London 2012 at the European Championships in Russia. Players union boss Gordon Taylor has warned his members that blatant diving and play-acting cannot be tolerated. Taylor says: "When it is blatant, when players are feigning injury or holding parts of the body that weren't even touched just to try to exaggerate a contact or get an opponent booked or sent off, that is something that needs to be condemned and that can't be tolerated."

Scott Parker admits Tottenham's season will be regarded as a failure if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Spurs were also thrashed in the FA Cup semi-final by Chelsea. The midfielder says: "If we don't end up fourth, we will have failed as a squad. We've had a fantastic ride this year and we've dipped, that's obvious. Even our own manager is probably doubting us a little bit at the moment. Others (are), too, like our own fans."

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits he is not happy with his form despite closing in on his best-ever scoring return. Rooney's double in yesterday's 4-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford took his goal tally to 31, just three fewer than his personal best haul from two seasons ago. But Rooney says: "It was nice to score two goals but I didn't think my performance was good enough. The rest of my play wasn't great. I am disappointed with that and I will be working hard to put it right."

With Liverpool already guaranteed a place in the Europa League courtesy of their League Cup success, it means sixth place will offer a route into Europe regardless of who wins the FA Cup final.

PFA chief Gordon Taylor has been talking to BBC Sport his morning about the current controversies in football, namely goal-line technology and the prevalence of diving. He says it is "perverse and amazing" that technology has not been brought in, and that players want it introduced to see "justice being done". On the subject of diving by playing he adds: "In an ideal world you'd stop players diving, but if they don't go down when there's contact, they don't get decisions."

Liverpool supporters traveling to Wembley for the FA Cup final on 5 May face more transport misery after it emerged only three trains will run between Merseyside and London on the day. Scheduled engineering work between Crewe and Warrington has prompted Virgin Trains to cancel the majority of its Lime Street to London Euston services on the day. All three of the services that are running leave before 0800 BST with the match due to kick-off at 1715.
