Laura Robson suffers first-round Unicef Open defeat

Former Wimbledon junior champion Laura Robson has been knocked out in the first round of the Unicef Open in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.
The 17-year-old Briton, a wildcard in next week's women's draw at Wimbledon, lost 7-5 6-3 to Spain's Arantxa Parra Santonja, the world number 106.
Robson served for the first set but could get only 47% of her first serves in, sending down 13 double faults.
Top seed Kim Clijsters of Belgium beat Romania's Monica Niculescu 7-5 7-5.
Elsewhere, Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated Arantxa Rus of Netherlands, Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium beat Alberta Brianti of Italy and 40-year-old Japanese Kimiko Date-Krumm overcame sixth seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko.
