There have been some high-profile players released recently as clubs prepare for next season. Didier Drogba, 34, will leave Chelsea on a free and is set to be followed through the exit door by Salomon Kalou, 26, and Jose Bosingwa, 29.
Meanwhile, Michael Owen, 32, and Emile Heskey, 34, are on the hunt for new clubs after leaving Manchester United and Aston Villa respectively.
Newcastle used the free transfer market to great effect last summer by bringing in Demba Ba. The 26-year-old striker went on to score 17 goals last season.
With huge transfer fees now the rule rather than the exception, signing a star on a free is extra special, so would you take any of the quintet mentioned here? Or who do you want to see come in on a free?
