Speedway: Craig Cook agrees to stay at Belle Vue Aces

Highly-rated Craig Cook will remain with Belle Vue for the 2013 season.

He is the first rider to commit himself to the Aces, who finished adrift at the bottom of the Elite League in 2012.

"I have had quite a lot of Elite League clubs onto me but I have shown my loyalty to the Aces," said Cook, who was handed his chance at the top level by the club two years ago.

"It is a privilege that Belle Vue came in for me and that I am the first rider they have signed."

The 25-year-old continued: "It was Belle Vue who came for me in 2011 and it was them who came for me again this year. They have showed loyalty to me and that's why I said I will go back again."

Cook will continue to ride on loan from his parent club - Premier League outfit Edinburgh.

Rory Schlein, who began last season at Belle Vue skipper, announced he would be leaving the club earlier this month.
