Eddie Graver aims to go 'beyond' Mick Gault career
Worlingham shooting prospect Eddie Graver has set his sights on surpassing the achievements of 17-time Commonwealth medal winner Mick Gault.
Gault, also from Norfolk, now coaches after retiring last year .
"He has been a huge inspiration to me through training and the support he's given as well," 17-year-old air pistol shooter Graver told BBC Radio Norfolk .
"He's such a huge success, maybe to follow in his footsteps, or even a bit beyond that, would be great."
Graver, son of current British Men's Air Pistol Champion Andy, claimed bronze in the junior men's air pistol open at the British Airgun Championships in March.
And he is set to start a campaign for an outside chance of earning a place at London 2012, by heading to Bisley to compete in the Junior International this August.
"I tend to do really well in this competition and if I can seize a gold medal there, it will certainly be very motivating. It should take me pretty far," he explained.
"It's the biggest competition of the year for me."
