Ben Ainslie makes sailing history
Ben Ainslie would love fifth Olympic sailing gold medal
Ben Ainslie says he would love to compete for a fifth Olympic gold in 2016 but "other challenges and factors" may prevent him from doing so.
Ainslie, 35, became the most decorated Olympic sailor in history with victory in the Finn class at London 2012.
He doubted he would return in Rio 2016, but now says it's a possibility.
"I'd love to be in Rio," he said. "But there are so many other challenges and factors that need to fall into place before I can make that decision."
He added: "The next Olympics are a long way off and the focus is on the America's Cup now.
"But the Olympics have been a huge part of my life and I'd like to be involved in the next Games.
"At this stage nothing has changed, I'm not ruling anything in, or anything out."

I think footballers should be paid on what they achieve, oh no how silly of me they didn't get any medals. Still they have there over inflated salaries to rely on. You have to admire the footie fans being ripped off each week and not complaining. Still we are all entitled to our views in life

@30: If you were to take a great olympic sailor and do a fitness comparison to a footballer you would find that the sailor is at least as fit, if not more fit in some areas that a top level footballer.

@30
alex, if you are going to WUM, at least get your grammar right, it's you're (as in "you are" contraction) not your - people WILL pick you up on this.
For the record, sailing is a superb sport, requiring high level of fitness and keen tactical awareness. Football is great in its own right, but cannot compare the two. But footballers do not deserve to get paid more than their sporting betters
