Has anyone else noticed the ref's seem to all be missing loads of infringements. Interpreting the laws differently, for example some call advantage over once its 2 passes down the backs from a ruck where the penalty was given, others let it go 3 phases and a third of a field. It seems to me since the WC refereeing has gone to pot as they're obviously not getting the constant direction they were

Luigi. Parissie would not have made that much difference against Wales. Wales were dominant in the scrum (the most dominant I have ever seen them against Italy) and their firepower was far superior. I do agree with you, Italy are not rubbish. They are not the wipping boys they use to be. Dont be too sensitive to some of the nationalists who post on this site

Interesting to hear the take on the stats for this game compared to last seasons Sco/Eng at M'field. This weekend the media have Scotland as playing poorly and being lucky. Last season Eng won at M'field with the following stats (Sco first) Possession % 68/32 , Territory % 72/28 ,clean breaks 9/1, tackles made/missed Sco 73/0 Eng 168/14 yet Scotland were slaughtered and England praised by the press

Thanky you for a your very useful cmment spidermike. I am not saying italy will beat england but i just get annoyed when people say italy are useless, i had a guy say to me (rugbylad) saying italy are rubbish and will get smashed. I just get frustrated. I think if parisse was on against wales,lm, the result would of been different....

Luigi - when making predictions you can only go on recent form and although Italy have potential their performances since beating a France team in disarray have given little indication of an upset against England. I don't think England team will take them lightly purely because of what happened last year, but logically it would be a massive upset if England were to lose.
