Ospreys fly-half Dan Biggar is downplaying speculation he will be recalled by Wales this autumn.

Biggar is being tipped for selection ahead of Scarlets' Rhys Priestland after some fine displays this season.

In his last three matches, Biggar has racked up 57 points in wins against Munster, Zebre and in the Heineken Cup against Treviso.

"I'm just playing as well as I can for the Ospreys," he said. "It really isn't in my mind about Wales."

Biggar added: "It's about winning games for the Ospreys, which we have been lucky enough to do."

Biggar was dropped for Wales' summer tour of Australia in June 2011, but his recent form has evidently rebuilt confidence for the 23-year-old.

"I'm enjoying myself and that's probably taken a little bit of pressure off myself in terms of thinking, 'I have to play every week to get back in for Wales'," he said.

"That's not in the picture for me at the minute. I'm really just concentrating on the Ospreys. If I get a Wales call, top of the world.

"If that comes then it's a great achievement and something I will treasure.

"The main thing for me is picking points up for the Ospreys and repaying the faith the Ospreys have shown in me."

Former Wales centre Tom Shanklin told BBC Wales after the first round of Heineken matches that Biggar could be in the frame for Wales.

"He's put a few very good games together and could be in with a shout of playing 10 for Wales," he said.

Against Munster, Biggar, who won the last of his 10 caps in the 30-21 win over the Barbarians in June 2011 but was surplus to requirements for the tour of Australia, scored half of his team's points in the 30-15 RaboDirect Pro12 win over Munster.

He also racked up 24 points the following week against Italian side Zebre, before scoring 18 points in the 38-17 Heineken Cup victory over Treviso last Friday.

He is now preparing to face England and Leicester fly-half Toby Flood in Ospreys' Pool 2 showdown at Welford Road on Sunday.

On facing 46-times capped Flood, Biggar said: "When you play against someone as good as Toby the spotlight is always going to be on you. He is a great player. It's a real good test for me.

"To test yourself against the best is what you want to do and he is up there with the best.

"If I can get somewhere near him I will have done very, very well.

"If I lose my personal duel to Toby Flood and we win the game, you won't hear me complaining one bit."
