Perhaps Ford is being rested so that he is fresh for the Autumn internationals when Flood is unavailable. I think London Welsh show why promotion and relegation is needed in any league.

A great game by the Welsh today and Gloucester were lucky to win. You can only admire the Welsh given the really difficult start to the season that they were given. Their performances are a great tribute to the spirit and skills of the players and to the capability of the management team and the Clubs directors. With performances like this they will certainly stay up and grow in stature.

Unless Ford gets some game time soon don't count on him staying at Leicester. I'm sure Tigers will try their best though, with Flood not playing very well you have to ask why Ford isn't being given a chance.

There is no way any of the Welsh teams would compete that highly. Their Heineken cup form over the years shows that fact.
