Scotland international Scott Lawson to leave Gloucester

Gloucester have confirmed hooker Scott Lawson will leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

The 30-year-old Scotland international has played 84 games for the Cherry and Whites since making his debut in the 2008-09 season.

"Scott's always given nothing less than his best for Gloucester during his time with us," head coach Bryan Redpath told the club website.

"He'll go with our best wishes and we wish him well for the future."

Lanark-born Lawson, who has 31 caps for his country, started his career at Glasgow before joining Sale in 2007.

He made four appearances for the Sharks and agreed to switch to Premiership rivals Gloucester the following year.

Lawson, who is out of contract in the summer, has played in two World Cups with Scotland and is part of their current Six Nations squad.
