Exeter Chiefs trio agree new contracts at Sandy Park

Exeter Chiefs have further strengthened ahead of next season by agreeing new contracts with three members of the first-team squad.

Flanker Chad Slade and centre Bryan Rennie have signed one-year deals, while scrum-half Junior Poluleuligaga has penned a two-year deal.

Exeter coach Ali Hepher said: "It's great news for the club that the three of them have decide to commit to us.

"We're really excited about working with them again."

He added: "They're all good guys, we've obviously worked with them this season, and hopefully they'll push on next year and push their careers on further."

Slade is one of Exeter's longest-serving players, having first joined the Sandy Park outfit in 2006 and has made 95 league appearances since while playing a key role in their rise to the Premiership.

Hepher said: "Chad's a reliable guy who works really hard, has a good ethic and is a good character around the squad.

"All-in-all he's a good quality professional, he's pushing on and he obviously plays in a lot of positions which is handy for balance as well."

Rennie, who joined the Chiefs in 2008 from London Irish, has also been a key player in recent seasons, while Poluleuligaga is the most recent addition of the three, arriving at Sandy Park last summer.

Hepher continued: "Bryan (Rennie) has got a lot of pace for a guy that size and he's a strong ball carrier and a big hitter in defence.

"He's the perfect guy to give us balance across the squad of backs."
