Exeter Chiefs have secured the services of Bedford fly-half Myles Dorrian on a two-year deal to replace Ryan Davis who is set to leave for London Wasps.

The 28-year-old Australian will join Rob Baxter's squad at the conclusion of the current season.

Dorrian said: "It is every rugby player's dream to play at the highest level and to move to Exeter will be a real test for me.

"Playing at Bedford has been fantastic and I have enjoyed every minute."

He continued: "I have developed as a player and my all-round game is far better than it was two years ago and I am now looking forward to another new challenge."

Chiefs boss Baxter said: "We know all about Myles from our days in the Championship and we've continued to keep an eye on him this season.

"He's an exciting player, he's got good hands and he can goal-kick as well.

"He's served what I would call a good apprenticeship in the Championship, which is a good division, but now we feel that he is ready to make the step up."
