St Helens sign Wakefield prop Kyle Amor on four-year deal

St Helens have paid £50,000 to sign Wakefield Trinity Wildcats prop Kyle Amor on a four-year contract.

The 26-year-old is the latest player to leave the troubled Super League club, who revealed last week they need £400,000 to balance the books.

"Kyle is already one of the best front rowers in Super League," Saints coach Nathan Brown told the club website.

"He will add strength, size and dynamism to our pack and is a great long-term recruit for the club."

Former Whitehaven and Leeds Rhinos man Amor has made 76 Super League appearances during his career, scoring nine tries.

Wakefield half-back Tim Smith joined Salford on 5 September, while Hull KR had a bid accepted for winger Ben Cockayne on the same day.

Luke Walsh, Mose Masoe and Richard Beaumont have already agreed moves to Langtree Park next season.
