Hull KR: Kris Welham ruled out with hand injury

Hull KR centre Kris Welham will miss his side's Super League opener against Catalan Dragons with a fractured hand.

The 25-year-old vice captain picked up the injury in the pre-season friendly win over local rivals Hull FC.

"Any time that you lose a player of Kris' quality it's going to hurt you but I'm confident that somebody else will step into that role," boss Craig Sandercock told the club website. 

"It's hard to pinpoint exactly how long Kris will be out for."
