Whitehaven's Max Wiper and Matt Haggerty move to Barrow

Barrow Raiders have signed centre Max Wiper and prop Matthew Haggerty from rivals Whitehaven for the 2013 Championship season.

Wiper and Haggerty, both 21, joined from Salford City Reds in 2011, and helped Haven to promotion this term.

Eight players in Liam Campbell, James Dandy, Chris Larkin, Mike Backhouse, Aaron Low, Jamie Butler, Ruairi McGoff and Lee Haney have signed new deals.

Meanwhile Barrow prop Andy Bracek has joined Halifax for the 2013 campaign.
