Referee Thierry Alibert dropped for Dragons-Broncos try error
Super League referee Thierry Alibert has served a one-match suspension after allowing a try to be scored on the seventh tackle.
The error occurred when Louis Anderson scored for Catalan Dragons in their 36-18 win over London Broncos last week.
Frenchman Alibert, 41, made the same mistake in Warrington's win over Wakefield in March.
Broncos coach Rob Powell said: "It doesn't help when the bare standard minimum of the game is not officiated."
Under league rules, teams must surrender possession once a sixth tackle is made.
Alibert, who is one of six full-time officials on the Super League panel, was dropped for Salford's game against Hull KR on Easter Monday.
RFL match officials director Stuart Cummings said: "He has served a one-match suspension and will be available for selection this weekend."
