Agar has one more year of his Hull FC contract to run

Hull FC have denied newspaper report indicating coach Richard Agar will leave the KC Stadium to join Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

The Guardian  suggested that new club owner Adam Pearson would be offering Agar the position of director of rugby and say he would turn it down.

The club were unwilling to comment publicly but privately told the BBC there was no truth in the rumour.

Wakefield say they are drawing up a short-list to replace John Kear.

Kear is leaving them at the end of the season and the Wildcats plan to interview for the vacancy later in the week.
